人の手が加わることで生まれる自然

自慢の愛車（自転車ですが、愛車です）で札幌宮の森美術館で開催中のマイケルケンナ写真展へ。マイケルケンナ氏のことは今回の写真展で知りましたが、街で見かけたフライヤーを見て一目惚れ。春を待ってようやくお目にかかれました。展覧会の作品は、どれもただの風景写真ではなく、どこかに必ず人の手が入った風景。フィルターを通してそこにあるストーリーを感じることが、素敵な体験となりました。作品自体には関係のないところでは、北海道以外の土地で撮影した写真に都道府県名ではなく”HONSHU”と表記されているのが印象的でした。北海道は特別なんですね。道産子としてはうれしいです。
「資料に」といいわけをしながら思わず購入した作品集は、彼の作品にも通じる繊細さで素敵な装丁なのですが、繊細すぎてなかなかビニール袋から出せずにいます。130点もの作品を目の前にすると、自分のお気に入りを見つけたくなるのが常というもので、COMMUNEのお二人にもお気に入りを選んでいただきました。

I went to Michel Kenna Exhibition at Miyanomori Museum by my lovely bike. I didn’t know about him before, but once found the exhibit flier in the town, I fell in love with his photos and finally I could go there, The photos are not just landscape, always with manmade object. I had good experience there, I could feel the story through his camera filter. This is not really connect with photos itself but only Hokkaido photos, there is exact place name on it, other photos are just say Honshu. Because I was born in Hokkaido, I felt bit happy. May be Hokkaido is special place for him too. I bought his book. This is well-bound book like his work. very delicate so still I can’t open it. I asked other stuff to choose favorite photos. Here is their choice.
